We are a few days late on our Merry Christmas wish but a few days early for the New Years!
This has been a busy December for us and we are loving every minute of it. Here are just a few high-lights of our month.
Nothing is better than receiving packages from home for the Holidays!
When they started to deliver on Sunday, and the Mission Office was closed, they delivered them to our Visitor Center. The Sisters were more than happy to help the postman bring them in!!!
The first part of December, our Stake put on a delicious dinner for all the missionaries; Elders, Sisters, and all us Senior Missionaries also.
After dinner, they had asked the young missionaries to put on the program.
The Elders acted out the Manager story with Sister Lettig as Mary. Once they were on the stage with the completed manger story, the Sisters did some musical numbers. This was our first time to play the bells, which we had been practicing for the past few weeks.
We played three song; Silent Night, Away in a Manger, and We heard the Bells on Christmas Day. We moved the bells around so the Sisters would play as least one or two of the songs. Sister Ray played the very last bell on the three songs and she made it quite dramatic, which was caught on this photo. They did a great job.
Twelve Days of Christmas
We drew names, and we gave notes, did acts of kindness, etc. to our Secret Sister for 12 days and then had a nice pancake breakfast and opened our final gift. We all enjoyed being Secret Santa to a special Sister.
During the month of December, on Thursday - Sunday, the Visitor Center sponsored Musical performances performed by families, musical groups, etc. throughout the area. Our very talented Sisters preformed on two of those nights.
Sister Thurston and Sister Raymer performed some beautiful duets and solos.
Sister Ita performed and wonderful solo. She is a new missionary with a beautiful voice.
Sister Wilson is probably the finest violinist I have every head and she played some beautiful Christmas songs.
Of course, all our Sisters had a chance to use their talents in ringing out the Bells!
Sister Jones, one of our Senior Couple Sister, is an amazing poet and she read one of her poems she just wrote about the birth our of our Savior.
Elder Brenchley, our director, sang a solo besides directing the Sisters in a wonderful choir of songs.
Sister Pyne, another Sr. Couple Sister, played the accompaniment for the bells and lots of the choir songs along with Sister Heylen, a Sister Missionary. We are grateful for their musical talents also.

We didn't send out Christmas cards this year so I hope you know we love you all and hope this blog will do for our card this year. We have felt the true meaning of Christmas. We love our Savior and what he has done for each one of us. Thanks for all of your love, letters and Christmas wishes this year while we have been serving on our mission. May you all have a WONDERFUL NEW YEAR!
