Here we are, 3 months into our Mission and we are enjoying every minute. The fall leaves here have been beautiful!
We went up to Far West and Adam-Ondi-Ahman with all the New Sisters and Senior Couples that have arrived in the Missouri, Independence Mission since spring and what a fun learning experience that was. Each time we go we learn something new.
This is the picture of the darling Sister Missionaries we have a chance to work with each day. The seven Sisters on the right are the Sister Missionaries that arrived just after we arrived so we will work with them the whole time we are here. They serve in the Visitor Center and Liberty Jail, in and out of their mission, and then they go out into the field and are full proselyting missionaries in-between.
There are around 40 Sister Missionaries in our mission right now. Because of the revelation that our Prophet received about lowering the age of Missionaries, our Mission President announced that by spring, we will have 70 Sister Missionaries serving in our Mission and also an increase of Elders. What an exciting time to be serving in the mission field. The Lord needs missionary work to increase, and we will be here to see that accomplished.

More fall leaves around Liberty and Independence.
The old cemetery where Joseph Smith III and other Smith's are burried, had some of the most beautiful fall leaves around. Another interesting places to visit.
On one Prep Day we went to an Arts Fair in Kansas City, MO. It was close to a park that had some large, beautiful fountains.
We took two Sister's to a baptism of a lady they taught when they were full proselyting missionaries, who was finally ready for baptism. The baptism was just over the border into Kansas, close to a outlet shopping area. While they were at the baptism, we visited the shopping area, which had lots of statues around. Elder Godfrey enjoyed having his picture taken with his new friends! HA!
The first Sunday of each month, our mission has a Devotional in the large, theater room in our Visitor Center, with testimonies of many new converters that were baptized in the past month. What a spiritual meeting this is! They come from all walks of life, with many diversified backgrounds, and many wonderful conversion stories.
Gladys Knight also presented a wonderful, missionary program this past month. There was wonderful music and testimonies given by Gladys Knight and her husband and others, which drew large crowds of non-members. Lots of referrals were collected for our missionaries which are resulting in many more people hearing about the gospel.
I also answered a call at the Visitor Center this past month, of a non member lady who wanted to donate some money to our church and didn't know how to go about it. She said she really likes Mitt Romney, so wanted to donate some money, like a "tithe", to his/our church. Of course, we found the missionaries in her area to go by and visit with her. I don't know the outcome of all that, but the church is being represented well with some very important people who love the Lord and love His Gospel.
We are grateful to be serving a mission at this time in our life. We have a strong testimony of our Savior and are grateful for Him. We send our love to you all.
